Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide national/international support for caregivers working in child protection centers under the Ministry of Social Affairs. This role involves conducting a thorough analysis of needs and developing strategies to enhance the support systems for these caregivers. The consultant will leverage extensive experience in psychosocial interventions, alternative care, and adult training to contribute to the Ministry's child protection mandate. The objective is to strengthen the capacity of caregivers, ultimately improving the well-being and protection of children in these centers. This involves research, analysis, and the development of practical, high-quality recommendations and training materials.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive national/international consultation to assess the needs of caregivers working in child protection centers. This includes designing and implementing research methodologies, analyzing collected data to identify key challenges and areas for improvement, and synthesizing findings into actionable insights. A significant part of the role involves developing and delivering training programs for adult caregivers, focusing on psychosocial support, alternative care practices, and child protection standards. The consultant will also be expected to facilitate coordination meetings and technical workshops, ensuring effective engagement with stakeholders. Furthermore, the consultant must prepare high-quality reports, including detailed findings, recommendations, and proposed strategies for enhancing caregiver support. This requires excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills, as well as the ability to work proactively and collaboratively with various parties to achieve the consultancy's objectives within the agreed timeline.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in research and needs analysis is required. Prior experience in adult training and a senior-level expertise in psychosocial interventions and alternative care are essential.
