Job Purpose

The Youth Consultants will join the U-Report steering group to advance the platform's goals of empowering youth to express their opinions, promoting youth-led development, and fostering positive social change. This consultancy, spanning 9 months from May to December 2026, involves contributing to the steering group's efforts to shape U-Report's activities. The role is crucial in ensuring the platform remains relevant to youth priorities and encourages meaningful participation. By joining this group, consultants will play an active role in identifying key issues, co-designing polls, and contributing to the development of digital content, ultimately amplifying young people's voices on critical topics.

Responsibilities

Youth Consultants will actively participate in monthly Steering Group meetings, contributing to discussions and ongoing activities. They will engage in regular check-ins with assigned UNICEF programme teams (e.g., Protection, Mental Health, Education) to provide feedback and contribute to programme development. A key responsibility will be collaborating with UNICEF and other Steering Group members to co-design U-Report polls, identifying relevant topics and drafting questions aligned with youth priorities. Consultants will also review U-Report poll results, contributing to discussions on key findings and potential programmatic recommendations. Furthermore, they will support the development of digital content for social media platforms, generating ideas and contributing to content creation. Finally, they will promote U-Report within their networks and engage with other youth to expand the platform's reach and impact.
