Job Purpose
The Fundraising Officer (Acquisition Lead) is a pivotal role within UNICEF Thailand's Private Sector Fundraising and Partnerships (PSFR) team, specifically within the Individual Giving unit. This position is instrumental in driving donor growth by executing strategies to expand UNICEF's supporter base. The role focuses on developing and implementing acquisition campaigns, with a significant emphasis on digital channels, identified as crucial for scaling outreach. By utilizing market research, optimizing conversion funnels, and managing financial performance, the incumbent ensures that acquisition efforts are data-driven, cost-effective, and aligned with UNICEF's mission. This leadership in campaign planning and budget oversight directly supports the organization's strategic goals for 2026–2030, aiming to enhance donor engagement and accelerate revenue growth for the benefit of children.
Responsibilities
The Fundraising Officer (Acquisition Lead) is responsible for managing and implementing strategies to grow the organization's donor base, targeting priority audience segments. This includes overseeing multi-channel donor acquisition campaigns to effectively engage target audiences. A key aspect of the role involves analyzing acquisition data and test results to evaluate strategy effectiveness and inform decision-making, as well as developing an acquisition budget to ensure cost-effective fundraising efforts. The incumbent will lead the donor acquisition team, setting team vision, goals, and KPIs, and providing guidance and support to achieve fundraising objectives. Additionally, they will manage relationships and projects with external agencies, such as creative and media agencies, and provide technical expertise in donor acquisition tools and techniques. Collaboration across teams on audience strategy and aligning donor acquisition efforts with broader marketing strategies, including brand and retention objectives, is also essential. Key deliverables include effective management and implementation of donor acquisition strategies, increased donor base through successful campaigns achieving growth and ROI targets, comprehensive reports analyzing acquisition data, and enhanced collaboration within the fundraising team.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience in fundraising, marketing, or a related field, with a proven track record in developing and implementing acquisition campaigns, particularly in digital channels. Experience in managing budgets and analyzing data is essential.
