Job Purpose
Under the guidance and general supervision of the Deputy Representative, within the Partnerships Section, the Specialist assists in the support of an integrated project, particularly in planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation. This role involves supporting donor reporting and resource mobilization efforts, and coordinating the synthesis of integrated project work to strengthen political will in support of UNICEF's mission and objectives in the country. The Specialist will also work to enhance the organization’s credibility and brand by ensuring timely and high-quality reporting and communication materials are produced, contributing to the overall success of UNICEF's programmatic interventions and fundraising strategies.
Responsibilities
The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Specialist will be responsible for Integrated Programme Coordination, supporting the oversight of work plan targets and financial components of the project to ensure synergy across programme sections. This includes conducting regular meetings with programme teams to review progress and ensuring inter-sectorality within UNICEF programme areas for efficiency. In Donor Reporting and Resource Mobilization, the Specialist will consolidate, review, edit, and finalize regular donor reports and resource mobilization documents, ensuring timely execution to support the country resource mobilization strategy. They will also update donor-related fundraising and information products, including briefing packs and fact sheets. For Monitoring and Evaluation, the Specialist will ensure regular activities are undertaken according to the work plan to maximize impact and that results and reports are prepared and shared promptly. Additionally, the Specialist will provide technical support as necessary in organizing and managing relevant activities.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional experience in programme planning, monitoring, reporting, and resource mobilization, preferably within a UN or international development context. Experience in working with donor reporting requirements and developing communication materials is desirable.
