Job Purpose
Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief of Communications & Advocacy, the Communication Specialist (Advocacy & Supporter Engagement) is accountable for designing, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating advocacy and non-financial supporter engagement strategies to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people. The incumbent will lead on integrated campaigns across communications/programmes/fundraising teams and will oversee the design and implementation of public campaigns, youth engagement, and influencer engagement strategies and plans, in support of UNICEF Indonesia’s advocacy and programmatic priorities. Contract duration is for 1 year.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following key end results: 1. Advocacy strategy/ies development: Provide technical support and facilitate consultations for developing robust advocacy strategies, especially for office-wide advocacy priorities, with SMART outcomes, clear milestones, compelling calls to action, and a clear theory of change. Coordinate and convene office-wide prioritization exercises and strategy development discussions and consolidate the inputs in the form of well-articulated strategies. Lead on the drafting of office-wide advocacy strategies, by convening all the necessary discussions with programme and field teams, soliciting inputs, and continuing to update the strategies as priorities and situations evolve. Collect insights and conduct research on political, economic and cultural trends from a wide range of sources and identify potential advocacy opportunities and challenges. Consult programme teams and external sources as necessary to support the conducting of stakeholder analyses and power mappings. Propose new approaches and innovative ideas as part of the strategy development process. 2. Advocacy strategy implementation: Coord
