Job Purpose
The Senior PSP Assistant will support the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) team in fundraising and engagement activities. This role is crucial for mobilizing resources from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support UNHCR's mandate of protecting refugees and finding durable solutions. The incumbent will assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing donor relations, and coordinating outreach campaigns. The position aims to enhance UNHCR's financial sustainability and expand its network of private sector partners. By contributing to the PSP team's objectives, the Senior PSP Assistant will play a vital role in enabling UNHCR to deliver life-saving assistance and advocate for the rights of displaced populations globally.
Responsibilities
The Senior PSP Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) team. This includes assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of fundraising campaigns targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations. The role involves managing donor databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and generating reports on fundraising progress. The incumbent will also support the development of compelling fundraising materials, such as proposals, appeals, and presentations. Furthermore, the Senior PSP Assistant will play a key role in cultivating and maintaining relationships with existing donors, responding to inquiries, and acknowledging contributions. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and to ensure effective communication about UNHCR's work. The assistant will also contribute to identifying new partnership opportunities and support the team in donor stewardship activities, aiming to maximize engagement and support for refugees. The role may also involve assisting with event planning and logistical support for donor engagement activities.
Work Experience
Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in fundraising, donor relations, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector.
