UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems worldwide. UNHCR also has a mandate to help people find lasting solutions, including voluntary repatriation, local integration or resettlement to a third country.

Job Purpose

The PSP Associate will support the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) team in its efforts to engage with private sector entities, including corporations, foundations, and individuals, to mobilize resources and build partnerships that advance UNHCR's mission. This role is crucial for expanding UNHCR's funding base and increasing public awareness and support for refugees. The Associate will contribute to the development and implementation of fundraising strategies, donor engagement activities, and campaign management. By fostering strong relationships with private sector partners, the PSP Associate will play a key role in securing the necessary support to protect and assist displaced populations globally. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities and a commitment to achieving fundraising targets.

Responsibilities

The PSP Associate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of UNHCR's private sector engagement strategy. This includes assisting in the identification and cultivation of potential corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors. The Associate will help develop and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including digital fundraising efforts and events. A key responsibility will be managing donor communications and ensuring timely and accurate reporting on fundraising progress. The role involves maintaining donor databases and CRM systems, ensuring data integrity and providing insights for strategic planning. The PSP Associate will also support the team in preparing proposals, presentations, and other fundraising materials. Additionally, the Associate will conduct research on potential partners and market trends to inform engagement strategies. Collaboration with internal UNHCR teams and external stakeholders will be essential to maximize fundraising potential and build strong, lasting partnerships that contribute to UNHCR's operational needs and programmatic goals.

Work Experience

Minimum of one year of relevant work experience in fundraising, partnership development, marketing, or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector or with private sector engagement.
