Job Purpose

Responsibilities

This includes assisting in the identification and registration of vulnerable individuals and families requiring protection assistance, conducting initial assessments to understand their needs, and referring them to appropriate services. The assistant will maintain detailed and confidential case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. They will also support the implementation of case management plans, monitor progress, and follow up on cases to ensure timely resolution. This involves liaising with internal UNHCR units and external partners, including NGOs and government agencies, to coordinate service delivery and advocate for the rights of persons of concern. The role also entails assisting in the preparation of reports on case management activities, identifying trends and challenges, and contributing to the overall protection strategy. The assistant may also be involved in community outreach activities to raise awareness about protection issues and available services.
Work Experience
At least one year of relevant work experience in humanitarian aid, social work, or protection-related activities, preferably within a refugee or displacement context.
