Job Purpose
The Assistant Business Analyst will support the Global Service Centre (GSC) in Budapest by contributing to various projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves assisting in the analysis of business processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and supporting the implementation of solutions. The incumbent will work closely with senior team members to gather requirements, document findings, and contribute to the development of reports and presentations. The primary goal is to provide analytical support that aids in decision-making and drives positive change within the GSC, ultimately supporting UNHCR's broader mandate of protecting refugees and finding durable solutions.
Responsibilities
The Assistant Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Global Service Centre (GSC) in Budapest with various analytical tasks. This includes assisting in the collection and documentation of business requirements from stakeholders, helping to map current business processes, and identifying potential areas for improvement or optimization. The role involves supporting the development of business cases and proposals for new initiatives or system enhancements. Furthermore, the Assistant Business Analyst will contribute to the preparation of project documentation, status reports, and presentations for management. They will assist in testing new systems or process changes and provide support during the implementation phase. This position requires close collaboration with team members and other departments to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. The incumbent will also be tasked with conducting research on relevant industry best practices and technologies to inform GSC strategies and operations, ensuring that UNHCR remains at the forefront of operational excellence in refugee support services.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a business analysis, data analysis, or related role is required. Experience in an international organization or humanitarian sector is an advantage.
