Job Purpose
The Donor Relations and Data Intern will support the Donor Relations and Data Unit in its mission to engage with donors and manage critical data related to refugee assistance. This role involves assisting in the preparation of donor reports, maintaining donor databases, and contributing to the analysis of data to inform strategic decisions. The intern will gain practical experience in donor engagement, data management, and the operational aspects of humanitarian aid. This position is crucial for ensuring accurate record-keeping and effective communication with our partners, thereby strengthening UNHCR's capacity to advocate for and support refugees worldwide. The internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital humanitarian cause while developing professional skills in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and finalization of donor reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting guidelines. Maintain and update donor databases, including contact information, funding commitments, and project details. Support the team in organizing donor meetings and events, including logistical arrangements and preparation of briefing materials. Conduct research on potential donors and funding opportunities to support fundraising efforts. Contribute to the analysis of donor data to identify trends and inform strategic planning. Assist in drafting correspondence and communication materials for donors. Help in tracking funding pipelines and ensuring timely follow-up on donor commitments. Support the implementation of data quality assurance measures to maintain the integrity of donor information. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on donor relations strategies. Assist in the development and maintenance of internal knowledge management systems related to donor engagement. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall objectives of the Donor Relations and Data Unit.
Work Experience
No prior work experience is required, but an interest in international affairs, humanitarian work, or data management is highly desirable. Previous internship experience is a plus.
