Job Purpose
The UNOPS Database Clerk will be responsible for maintaining and updating various databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Responsibilities
The UNOPS Database Clerk will be tasked with the accurate and timely entry of data into various UNHCR databases, including beneficiary registration, case management, and program activity records. This includes verifying the completeness and correctness of information received from field operations and other sources. The clerk will be responsible for updating existing records, ensuring that all changes are documented and reflect the current status of individuals and families. They will also assist in generating routine reports and statistics from the databases as required by supervisors and program staff. Furthermore, the role involves performing data quality checks to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies. The clerk will support the organization and retrieval of database-related documents and files. They may also be involved in assisting with the training of new staff or affiliates on database usage and data entry protocols. Maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive data is paramount. The position requires close collaboration with program teams and information management officers to ensure data needs are met effectively.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of experience in data entry, database management, or a similar administrative role is required. Experience with UN or NGO databases is an advantage.
