Job Purpose
The UNOPS Eligibility Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the eligibility assessment process for beneficiaries or applicants, ensuring compliance with established criteria and procedures. This role involves leading a team, providing guidance, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of applications. The supervisor will play a crucial part in maintaining the integrity of the program by verifying that all eligibility requirements are met before any benefits or services are granted. This position requires a strong understanding of the program's guidelines and a commitment to fair and consistent application of these rules, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operations.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage the daily operations of the eligibility assessment team, ensuring efficient workflow and timely processing of applications. Provide clear guidance and direction to team members on eligibility criteria, procedures, and best practices. Review and approve eligibility decisions made by team members, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines. Train new team members on eligibility assessment processes, program policies, and relevant systems. Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all eligibility assessments and related documentation. Liaise with other departments or stakeholders to resolve complex eligibility cases or gather necessary information. Ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with UNOPS regulations, policies, and ethical standards. Prepare regular reports on team performance, key metrics, and challenges encountered. Contribute to the development and refinement of eligibility assessment tools and procedures.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in program administration, case management, or eligibility determination is generally required. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is highly desirable.
