Job Purpose
The Registration Clerk will be responsible for accurately and efficiently registering persons of concern (PoCs) in accordance with UNHCR standards and procedures. Responsibilities
Conduct registration interviews with persons of concern (PoCs) to collect accurate demographic, personal, and household information, adhering strictly to UNHCR's registration procedures and data protection guidelines. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all collected data, maintaining a high level of professionalism and sensitivity during interviews. Accurately enter registration data into UNHCR's registration system (e.g., proGres), ensuring data quality, completeness, and consistency. Verify and cross-check information provided by PoCs to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Assist in the identification and referral of PoCs with specific vulnerabilities or protection needs to relevant UNHCR units or implementing partners. Support the maintenance and updating of the registration database, including regular data cleaning and validation activities. Prepare regular reports on registration activities, statistics, and any emerging trends or challenges. Participate in training sessions and capacity-building activities related to registration, data management, and protection principles. Collaborate effectively with other registration staff, protection officers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to registration and case management. Respond to queries from PoCs regarding the registration process and their data, providing clear and accurate information.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in registration, data management, or a similar role is required. Experience working with displaced populations or in a humanitarian context is an asset.
