Furthermore, the assistant is responsible for accurately entering repatriation data into relevant databases and assisting senior colleagues in processing returnees.
Responsibilities
The Repatriation Assistant is responsible for interviewing individuals interested in voluntary repatriation, ensuring they have comprehensive information to make informed decisions about returning to their country of origin. This includes assisting them in completing relevant documentation, such as Voluntary Repatriation Forms. The role involves actively participating in mass information sessions to inform refugee communities and other stakeholders about the voluntary repatriation programme. A key responsibility is providing logistical and administrative support for voluntary repatriation border-crossing and return movements. The assistant will also assess the specific needs of vulnerable categories of returnees during these movements and recommend appropriate support measures. Data entry related to voluntary repatriation into the relevant database is a core duty, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). The assistant will also support the identification and management of risks and opportunities impacting their area of responsibility, making risk-based decisions and escalating issues to supervisors. Performing other related duties as required is also part of the role.
Work Experience
