Job Purpose
The Private Partnerships and Philanthropy Intern will support UNHCR's efforts to engage with private sector donors and philanthropic organizations. This role is crucial for expanding UNHCR's funding base and fostering strategic alliances that contribute to its mission of protecting refugees and displaced persons. The intern will assist in identifying potential partners, developing engagement strategies, and managing relationships to secure vital resources. Responsibilities
The Private Partnerships and Philanthropy Intern will be responsible for conducting research on potential corporate partners and philanthropic foundations, identifying key contacts and engagement opportunities. They will assist in the development of compelling proposals and presentations tailored to specific donor interests and priorities. The intern will support the team in managing donor communications, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests. This role involves maintaining and updating donor databases, tracking engagement activities, and contributing to the preparation of reports on partnership progress. Additionally, the intern may be involved in event planning and logistical support for donor engagement activities, as well as assisting with the implementation of stewardship initiatives to acknowledge and appreciate donor contributions. The position requires close collaboration with various internal teams to gather information and ensure alignment with UNHCR's strategic objectives.
Work Experience
Previous internship or volunteer experience in fundraising, communications, or partnership development is an asset. Familiarity with the humanitarian sector is desirable.
