Job Purpose
The Senior Driver will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to UNHCR staff and authorized personnel. Responsibilities
Operate UNHCR vehicles safely and efficiently, transporting staff, visitors, and goods to designated locations. Ensure the daily maintenance of assigned vehicles, including checking oil, water, tires, and brakes, and reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle interior and exterior. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, UNHCR safety policies, and local regulations. Plan and coordinate routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations, considering traffic conditions and security advisories. Maintain accurate mileage logs and fuel consumption records. Assist with basic vehicle repairs and maintenance when necessary. Provide support for logistical tasks, such as collecting and delivering mail, parcels, and equipment. Ensure the security of passengers and cargo during transit. Respond to emergency situations as required, following established protocols. Assist in the preparation of vehicle-related reports and documentation. Maintain a professional demeanor and provide courteous service to all passengers.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional driving experience is required. Experience in a similar organizational context or with international organizations is an asset.
