Job Purpose
The PSP IG Associate will support the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) team in engaging with individuals and corporations to generate resources and build support for UNHCR's mission. This role is crucial for expanding UNHCR's funding base and increasing public awareness of refugee issues. The Associate will contribute to fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship activities, and partnership development, ensuring that all efforts align with UNHCR's strategic objectives and brand guidelines. The position aims to foster stronger relationships with private sector entities and individual donors, ultimately enhancing UNHCR's capacity to assist refugees worldwide. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities and a commitment to achieving ambitious fundraising targets.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement fundraising strategies targeting individuals and corporations.
Manage and nurture relationships with existing donors and partners, ensuring high levels of engagement and retention.
Identify and cultivate new donor prospects, including high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities.
Plan and execute fundraising campaigns and events, both online and offline.
Prepare compelling proposals, reports, and presentations for donors and partners.
Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the private sector fundraising landscape.
Collaborate with internal teams, including communications and programs, to develop integrated fundraising initiatives.
Maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
Contribute to the development of fundraising materials and collateral.
Monitor and analyze fundraising performance, providing regular reports on progress against targets.
Stay abreast of UNHCR's operations and refugee issues to effectively communicate the impact of private sector support.
Assist in the management of the PSP budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
Work Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in fundraising, marketing, or partnership development, preferably within the non-profit sector.
