Job Purpose
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and successful implementation of the "Social Empowerment of Women Self Help Groups of Mission Shakti" project in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. This role is crucial for ensuring that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively, contributing to the social and economic empowerment of women through self-help groups. The coordinator will oversee project activities, manage resources, and ensure alignment with UNFPA's mandate and the specific goals of the Mission Shakti initiative.
Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities aimed at the social empowerment of women's self-help groups under the Mission Shakti initiative. This includes coordinating with stakeholders, managing project timelines and deliverables, and ensuring the effective utilization of resources. The role involves regular reporting on project progress, identifying potential challenges, and developing mitigation strategies. Additionally, the coordinator will facilitate capacity-building initiatives for self-help groups, support documentation and knowledge management efforts, and ensure adherence to project guidelines and UNFPA standards.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of three years of experience in managing similar programs or projects. Experience working with government entities or UN agencies is desirable. Prior experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, Documentation, and Knowledge Management is preferred. Proficiency in computer usage and office software packages (e.g., MS Word, Excel) is necessary.
