Job Purpose
The National Communication Consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives for the UNFPA Libya Country Office. Responsibilities
The consultant will develop and execute communication strategies, including planning, content creation, and dissemination across digital and traditional media channels. This involves producing high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content tailored for different audiences and formats, such as web, social media, print, and public events. Responsibilities include managing social media channels, updating website content, and running digital campaigns, while also analyzing communication effectiveness. The role requires strong storytelling abilities in both Arabic and English, producing content that is protection-sensitive, gender-responsive, and conflict-sensitive. Additionally, the consultant will build and maintain relationships with media, civil society, government entities, and other stakeholders to amplify UNFPA's message and support partnership building.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in communications, public information, journalism, or digital media is required. Demonstrated experience in producing diverse communication materials, managing social media, and creating digital campaigns is essential. Proven bilingual writing and storytelling skills in Arabic and English are necessary, along with experience in photography, videography, or graphic design. Familiarity with the Libyan context and experience with UN or international organizations is desirable.
