Job Purpose
The Chauffeur Clinique Mobile is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, equipment, and supplies to and from various locations, particularly in support of mobile clinic operations. This role ensures the timely and secure movement of resources, enabling the delivery of essential health services to target populations. The chauffeur plays a critical part in maintaining the operational readiness of the mobile clinic by ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and accessible for field missions, thereby directly contributing to UNFPA's mandate of promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Responsibilities
The Chauffeur Clinique Mobile is entrusted with the safe and timely operation of UNFPA vehicles, including all-terrain vehicles, for the transportation of staff, equipment, and supplies. This involves adhering strictly to traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and UNFPA security protocols. The role requires regular maintenance checks of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues promptly, and ensuring the vehicle is clean and ready for use. The chauffeur must possess a thorough understanding of local road conditions and security situations, adapting routes as necessary to ensure safety and efficiency. Frequent travel to field locations is expected, necessitating flexibility and a commitment to supporting mobile clinic outreach activities.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional experience in driving all-terrain vehicles is required. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is desirable. Familiarity with the country's security situation and road conditions is essential.
Skills
Proficiency in defensive driving, good visual acuity, and knowledge of driving regulations and protocols. Excellent French language skills are required; working knowledge of Arabic and English, and national languages, are assets.
