Job Purpose
The HR Adviser, Talent Acquisition acts as a strategic internal consultant and active recruiter for UNFPA. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing effective talent acquisition strategies tailored to the organization's specific needs. The purpose is to attract managerial and technical talent crucial for meeting UNFPA’s current and future organizational objectives, thereby contributing to the successful execution of the UNFPA Strategic Plan and its mandate.
Responsibilities
The HR Adviser will develop innovative global strategies for talent sourcing, branding, and outreach, leveraging online resources, social media, and professional networks to attract suitable candidates. This includes partnering with hiring managers to create effective recruitment strategies, modernizing talent acquisition policies and processes, and developing an attractive Employee Value Proposition. The role also involves forecasting hiring needs, monitoring hiring data, assessing strategy effectiveness, and establishing partnerships with executive search firms and educational institutions. Additionally, the adviser will lead recruitment activities aligned with UNFPA’s People Strategy, participate in interview panels, actively source for hard-to-fill positions, and foster knowledge sharing within the HR division. Inter-agency collaboration and representing UNFPA in external forums are also key responsibilities.
Work Experience
Requires ten years of progressively responsible experience in HR management, specifically in talent sourcing, recruitment, branding, and/or workforce planning, with experience in a global company or international organization. Expertise in sourcing techniques, global labor market knowledge, and delivering innovative talent acquisition services in multicultural environments is essential. Experience with executive recruitment firms, modern media applications for talent search, and developing attractive EVPs is also required.
