National Consultant - Quantification Capacity Assessment (QCA)

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN's sexual and reproductive health agency. This role contributes to UNFPA's mandate by supporting quantification capacity assessments.
Job Purpose
The National Consultant for Quantification Capacity Assessment (QCA) will play a crucial role in evaluating and enhancing UNFPA's capacity in quantification processes. This involves assessing current methodologies, identifying gaps, and recommending strategies for improvement to ensure effective planning and resource allocation for sexual and reproductive health programs. The consultant's work will directly contribute to strengthening UNFPA's operational efficiency and its ability to achieve its mandate of delivering essential health services and promoting gender equality.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for conducting a comprehensive assessment of UNFPA's quantification capacity within the Philippines. This includes reviewing existing quantification tools, processes, and data management systems. The role involves engaging with key stakeholders to gather information on current practices and challenges. Based on the assessment findings, the consultant will develop a detailed report outlining identified strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. Recommendations for capacity building initiatives, training programs, and updated methodologies will be a key deliverable, aimed at enhancing the accuracy and reliability of quantification efforts.
Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in health program planning, quantification, or supply chain management. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is highly desirable. Proven experience in conducting assessments and developing recommendations.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent report writing and communication abilities. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Knowledge of public health systems and quantification methodologies. Familiarity with UNFPA's work and mandate. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
