Job Purpose
The role provides specialized technical support in gender, care strategies, and political empowerment of women, as part of a UNFPA agreement with the Ministry of Equality. The objective is to implement a strategy for strengthening caregivers in prioritized municipalities across the country. This involves developing and coordinating work plans, providing technical advice on gender, care, and women's political empowerment, and supporting the implementation of care networks for the political and social participation of caregivers.
Responsibilities
Develop and agree on a work plan to achieve objectives and expected results within the framework of the agreement. Provide technical support in the development of work plan content and deliverables, offering specialized advice on gender, care, and women's political empowerment. Support the technical review and implementation of the care network proposal for the political and social participation of caregivers, applying a gender, intersectional, and intercultural approach. Assist in the coordination and technical-operational implementation of the care network strategy in municipalities. Support advocacy and strategic dialogue actions for the implementation of the Care Network School. Provide technical support for the preparation and development of operational committees. Assist in monitoring and evaluating strategy implementation. Attend meetings and maintain confidentiality of information. Full-time availability is required.
Work Experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in gender equality, care, political and social empowerment of women, social public policy implementation, care policies, or related areas. Minimum 1 year of experience working with civil society and community-based organizations, or with communities in different regions of the country. Minimum 1 year of experience coordinating the technical implementation of strategies, projects, or programs related to the agreement at national and territorial levels. Minimum 2 years of experience in leadership and facilitation of community workshops, and in designing and implementing training methodologies.
Skills
Knowledge to strengthen active citizenship and political and social participation of women. Understanding of differential and intersectional approaches in social projects. Leadership and interpersonal skills for working with institutions. Excellent analytical and communication skills (oral and written). Analytical orientation, initiative, and flexibility. Project management and time management skills. Excellent command of Spanish and good command of English.
