Job Purpose
The role provides specialized technical support for transforming social norms, gender roles, masculinities, and care practices within the framework of a UNFPA agreement with the Ministry of Equality. This involves territorializing a cultural change strategy for the National Care Program in prioritized municipalities. The objective is to contribute to the effective implementation of the program, respond to national strategic priorities, and strengthen UNFPA's operational capacity in program execution and project activities.
Responsibilities
Develop and agree on a work plan to achieve objectives and expected results under the agreement. Provide technical support for the development of work plan content and deliverables, ensuring timely execution of requirements. Support the technical review and implementation of the 'Society of Care' proposal, focusing on gender, responsible and non-violent masculinities, intersectionality, and interculturality. Coordinate the technical and operational implementation of the 'Societies of Care' strategy in prioritized municipalities. Support advocacy and strategic dialogue actions for the 'School of Societies of Care'. Technically assist in the preparation and development of operational committees. Monitor the implementation of the 'Societies of Care' strategy. Attend meetings as required by UNFPA and the Ministry of Equality, maintaining confidentiality of information. Perform other assigned tasks related to Gender Area management.
Work Experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in gender equality, care, responsible and non-violent masculinities, social norm transformation, or related areas. Minimum 1 year of experience in technical coordination of strategy, project, or program implementation at national and territorial levels. Minimum 1 year of experience working with civil society, community-based organizations, or communities in different regions of the country. Minimum 2 years of experience in leadership and facilitation of community workshops and in designing/implementing training methodologies.
Skills
Knowledge in transforming gender norms and promoting responsible and non-violent masculinities. Understanding of differential and intersectional approaches in social projects. Leadership and institutional interaction skills. Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication abilities. Analytical orientation, initiative, and flexibility. Project management and time management skills. Excellent command of Spanish and good command of English.
