The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is the UN's leading agency for population and sexual and reproductive health. In Colombia, UNFPA works closely with the national government, local authorities, civil society, and academia to implement its cooperation program. This role supports the effective implementation of UNFPA's program and responds to national strategic priorities by strengthening operational capacity.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to coordinate the implementation and monitoring of a project aimed at supporting the territorialization of the National Care Program's Care Networks and Care Societies. This involves ensuring the effective execution of the agreement, coordinating technical and administrative actions, and providing guidance to the national and territorial technical teams. The role contributes to the achievement of the program's objectives and expected results, fostering evidence-based policy design and monitoring.
Responsibilities
The Associate will develop and agree on a work plan and timeline with the UNFPA Gender Advisor for the project's objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating all technical, administrative, monitoring, and communication actions necessary for the agreement's fulfillment. The role involves coordinating, supporting, and technically guiding the national and territorial technical teams, as well as supporting the ideation, development, and implementation of awareness-raising, communication, and monitoring plans. The Associate will also support the technical development and validation of project documents, systematize implementation evidence, prepare reports, and support advocacy and technical dialogue with national and territorial entities, community actors, and civil society organizations. Leading the Technical Secretariat for the Operational Committee to monitor the agreement's implementation is also a key duty.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in the formulation, implementation, and management of social projects with a gender, intersectional, and human rights focus. Additionally, 3 years of experience in coordinating projects, programs, policies, or strategies related to gender, care, human rights, and related areas is required. Experience in community work and with civil society organizations at the territorial level is also necessary.
