Job Purpose
This role provides technical support for the monitoring and follow-up of the "Convenio de Cuidado" between UNFPA and the Ministry of Equality. The objective is to ensure the effective territorialization of national care strategies in prioritized municipalities across Colombia. The position contributes to the successful implementation of the agreement by designing and executing monitoring plans, analyzing progress, identifying challenges, and recommending improvements. This ensures that the project's objectives are met and that evidence-based policies are supported, ultimately contributing to UNFPA's mandate of advancing population and reproductive health goals.
Responsibilities
The Associate Technical Officer will develop and agree on a work plan to achieve the objectives and expected results of the "Convenio de Cuidado." Key duties include providing technical support for monitoring the agreement's implementation in selected municipalities, and designing and implementing a monitoring and systematization plan. This involves developing the project's results framework, indicator metadata, and control dashboards, which will be updated regularly for analysis. The role also entails reviewing and systematizing technical and programmatic information, preparing periodic technical reports with analysis and recommendations, and supporting the preparation and development of operational committees. The officer will attend relevant meetings, maintain confidentiality of information, and be available full-time for their responsibilities, undertaking other assigned tasks by the Gender Advisor.
Work Experience
A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience is required, with a focus on monitoring and evaluation of projects, particularly in social, gender, or health sectors. Experience in collecting and processing data for social or demographic analysis is essential. Experience in drafting and editing programmatic documents, including research reports and internal memos, is also necessary.
Skills
Excellent analytical and communication skills (oral and written). Proficiency in Google Workspace and data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization tools such as Looker Studio and Power BI. Knowledge of incorporating differential and intersectional approaches in social projects. Leadership and collaboration skills with institutions. Analytical orientation, initiative, and flexibility. Project management and time management skills. Fluency in Spanish and good command of English.
