Job Purpose
The role is to provide technical and logistical support for the execution of activities, projects, and strategies related to Gender, Human Rights, and Interculturality within UNFPA Colombia. This includes advancing gender equality, women's empowerment, comprehensive approaches to gender-based violence, and the eradication of harmful practices, alongside promoting sexual and reproductive rights. The position also contributes to the management of information and knowledge within the Area.
Responsibilities
Develop and review strategic and technical documents, knowledge management, and information materials focusing on gender equality, sexual and reproductive rights, harmful practices, and gender-based violence. Support the management of quantitative information and statistics on gender and violence for project development. Lead and support actions for the prevention and eradication of harmful practices like female genital mutilation and child marriage. Design and implement capacity-building activities for various stakeholders, including women, government officials, and civil society organizations. Assist in developing technical and financial project proposals for resource mobilization and support advocacy and political dialogue processes. Foster alliances and engage with national and territorial institutions, civil society, and other strategic actors. Provide technical and logistical support for initiatives aligned with UNFPA's country office CPD 8 and global strategic plan regarding Gender, Human Rights, and Interculturality. Prepare technical inputs for progress, monitoring, and evaluation reports, maintaining confidentiality of all information.
Work Experience
A minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience in gender equality, sexual and reproductive rights, women's empowerment, gender-based violence, and harmful practices. Experience in leading and supporting technical processes, strategies, and social projects. Experience working at the territorial level with communities, civil society organizations, women's groups, and institutions.
Skills
Knowledge and experience in implementing gender, differential, ethnic, and intercultural approaches. Effective communication and writing skills. Proficiency in Spanish and intermediate English.
