Job Purpose

Reporting to the M&E Specialist, the Analyst oversees the GBV Information Management System (IMS), providing technical and operational leadership. Responsibilities include developing partner capacity in data collection, analyzing program results for reporting and advocacy, and rigorously upholding ethical and safety standards for sensitive survivor data, contributing to informed decision-making and accountability in GBV response.
Responsibilities
The Programme Analyst is responsible for managing the GBV Information Management System (IMS), serving as the technical expert and administrator, ensuring adherence to safety and ethical principles. This includes leading data collection, cleaning, and processing from partners, and designing dashboards for trend analysis. The role supports monitoring GBV interventions against KPIs, conducting data quality assessments, and contributing to timely, high-quality reports for internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, the Analyst develops and delivers training to partners and UNFPA staff on IMS functionality and ethical data handling, provides ongoing technical support, and participates in relevant working groups to ensure coordinated data management approaches.
Work Experience
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in programme management, monitoring, or information management, preferably in humanitarian or development settings. Proven experience managing databases, information management systems (e.g., GBVIMS, DHIS2), and data visualization tools is required. Experience in data analysis, reporting, and data quality assessments is essential. Knowledge of humanitarian principles and GBV is desirable.
