Organizational Context
The ICT Associate will support and maintain the IT infrastructure and systems for UNFPA Ukraine CO, reporting to the International Operations Manager. UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled, focusing on transformative results in family planning, maternal health, gender-based violence, and demographic change adaptation.
Job Purpose
The role's purpose is to provide essential ICT and administrative support services to UNFPA Country Office staff in Ukraine. This includes daily technical support, assisting in the implementation of ICT standards and applications, managing data, information, and workflow, and ensuring the effective functioning of the organization's IT resources. The ICT Associate contributes to the efficient operation of the office by maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and supporting users to enhance their knowledge and efficiency with ICT tools.
Responsibilities
The ICT Associate is responsible for supporting the implementation of ICT management systems and strategies, ensuring compliance with corporate IT standards, and supporting Enterprise Resource Planning systems. This includes ensuring the effective functioning of CO hardware and software, performing technical functions such as installation, repair, and maintenance of applications, and managing supplies inventory. The role also involves ensuring ICT security, supporting network administration, troubleshooting network problems, and responding to user needs. Additionally, the ICT Associate provides administrative support for ICT assets, maintains inventory records, manages stock, supports the disposal of obsolete equipment, and maintains staff contact lists. They also support virtual meetings and events and perform other duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Six years of relevant working experience is required, including network administration, support for hardware and software platforms, and telecommunications facilities. Knowledge of Windows-based packages/applications, PC/LAN operating systems, Microsoft Windows, corporate ICT security and viral protection systems, and ERP is essential. Some experience in client support, such as a Help Desk or User Support Unit, is also beneficial.
