Organizational Context
The UNFPA Afghanistan Country Office seeks an Accountability to Affected People (AAP) and Disability Inclusion (DI) Information Management Analyst. This role supports the Country Office's information management architecture, integrating AAP data into the "Orange Room" system. The position aims to ensure community feedback and accessibility data are systematically captured, analyzed, and used for program decision-making, contributing to UNFPA's mandate of delivering a world where every pregnancy is intended, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled.
Job Purpose
The Accountability to Affected People (AAP) and Disability Inclusion (DI) Information Management Analyst is responsible for managing and integrating data related to AAP and DI across UNFPA programmes in Afghanistan. This role strengthens the Country Office's information management architecture by incorporating AAP information into the "Orange Room" system, facilitating the analysis and utilization of community feedback and disability-disaggregated data for program enhancement. Through effective data management and analysis, the position supports coordination, monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making within the humanitarian-BHN nexus framework, ultimately contributing to more inclusive and accountable programming.
Responsibilities
The AAP/DI IMS Analyst will manage and maintain information management systems and databases for AAP and Disability Inclusion, integrating AAP data into the Country Office Information Management System ("Orange Room") while ensuring data quality and accessibility. Responsibilities include developing data dashboards and reporting templates, ensuring AAP and DI indicators are integrated into monitoring systems, and promoting standardized data collection practices. The role will ensure AAP and disability-related information informs annual planning and program design, identify opportunities for disability inclusion programming, and analyze data from feedback mechanisms and partner reports. The analyst will produce analytical reports, support program teams in data interpretation, and contribute to internal and donor reporting. Additionally, the position will provide information management and analytical support to the AAP/DI Working Group, assist in documenting best practices, and offer technical support and capacity building to UNFPA staff and partners on data management and disability-disaggregated data collection.
Work Experience
Relevant professional experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or program support is desirable. Experience supporting databases, dashboards, or information management platforms is also desirable. Experience with community feedback mechanisms, accountability systems, or inclusive programming approaches is beneficial. Experience with UN agencies, NGOs, or humanitarian coordination mechanisms is an asset.
