Job Purpose
This Junior National Consultant role supports the ISHONCH project by archiving the voices and journeys of selected mentors in Uzbekistan. The project aims to strengthen inclusive and high-quality teacher education through various initiatives, including the development of ICT and AI competencies for teachers. The consultant will be instrumental in capturing and documenting the personal experiences, professional development, and insights of these mentors. This work will contribute to a publication and narrative documentation project, ensuring that the lived experiences of educators are preserved and shared, thereby enriching the understanding and impact of the project's educational reforms.
Responsibilities
The Junior Consultant will be responsible for accurately transcribing recorded interviews with mentors, capturing their personal experiences, professional trajectories, motivations, challenges, and reflections on education, digital learning, ICT, AI, and teacher professional development in Uzbekistan. These interviews are crucial for a publication and narrative documentation project focused on the voices and lived experiences of the selected mentors. The consultant will ensure the transcripts are precise and preserve the authenticity of the participants' narratives. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in transforming audio recordings into written text, contributing directly to the project's goal of archiving valuable insights from educators.
Work Experience
No prior professional work experience is required. Recent graduates and early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. Training and guidance on transcription standards and project requirements will be provided.
Skills
Essential skills include strong attention to detail, excellent listening abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Google Docs, and basic file management. The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively is also crucial for this role.
