Job Purpose

The Consultant - Graphic Designer will provide essential visual communication support to the Culture Sector in Ukraine. This role involves translating complex ideas and project information into compelling visual assets that align with UNESCO's brand identity and communication objectives. The designer will be responsible for creating a range of graphic materials to enhance the visibility and impact of the sector's initiatives. This includes developing layouts, illustrations, and other visual elements for digital and print platforms, ensuring consistency and quality across all outputs. The aim is to effectively communicate UNESCO's work and engage target audiences.

Responsibilities

The Graphic Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing creative visual designs for various projects and campaigns within the Culture Sector in Ukraine. This includes developing branding elements, designing publications, infographics, social media graphics, presentations, and other communication materials. The consultant will collaborate with program teams to understand project requirements and translate them into impactful visual solutions. Key tasks involve creating original artwork, selecting appropriate imagery and typography, and ensuring all designs adhere to UNESCO's visual identity guidelines. The role requires managing multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality, error-free work. The designer will also contribute to the overall visual strategy of the sector, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in all communication efforts.

Work Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in graphic design is required. Experience in creating visual content for international organizations or cultural projects is an asset.

Skills

Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color theory. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
