There is a growing interest in understanding the economic contribution of the cultural and creative ecosystem. A draft document was produced, and UIS is now resuming efforts to complete this initiative.

The consultant will update and revise the 2018 UIS draft document to produce the new International Recommendations for Culture Satellite Accounts. Key tasks include defining concepts, explaining the CSA's integration with the System of National Accounts (SNA), detailing its uses and limitations, and identifying criteria for development. The consultant will also produce required summary tables, identify initial aggregates and basic indicators, discuss specific issues, and define necessary classifications and recommended data sources. The scope involves reviewing past UIS work, the 2017 draft, and results from expert group reviews and global consultations.
