Job Purpose
This volunteer program aims to provide assistance to the Culture sector by supporting research activities related to UNESCO conventions and their applications. Volunteers will engage in searching specialized literature, archives, and institutional records, and reviewing bibliographic sources pertinent to UNESCO's cultural conventions. The program also focuses on developing skills in research methodology design, minute-taking, presentation generation, and supporting the creation of press releases. Additionally, volunteers will assist in process monitoring, data analysis, and other support tasks within the framework of ongoing projects, contributing to the sector's objectives.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will support the Culture sector by generating research documents concerning UNESCO conventions and their practical applications. This includes conducting thorough searches of specialized bibliographies, archives, catalogs, institutional records, and other relevant sources. A key responsibility involves reviewing bibliographic materials related to the themes of UNESCO's conventions. The volunteer will also contribute to the development of research methodology designs, draft meeting minutes, and create presentations. Furthermore, they will assist in generating information for press releases, follow up on requested processes, and perform data and information analysis. Other support activities as required by the Sector within project frameworks are also part of the role.
