Job Purpose

Responsibilities
Selected experts will support IBE technical cooperation projects at the country level, contributing to areas such as curriculum framework review and revision, subject curriculum enhancement, teacher education program alignment, learning assessment, and curriculum evaluation. Responsibilities include revising national curriculum frameworks, conducting comparative analyses, preparing analytical reports with recommendations, and developing training resources. Experts will also strengthen teacher competencies for curriculum co-development and implementation, support the integration of competency-based or standards-based approaches, and enhance capacity for analyzing learning data. Additionally, experts will design and deliver capacity development activities and provide mentoring to national teams, ensuring practical application and quality assurance.
Work Experience
A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience is required in curriculum development, implementation, or evaluation; designing competency-based or standards-based curricula; teacher education program design; or learning assessment systems. Demonstrated hands-on experience in producing curriculum outputs, conducting international comparative analyses, training national teams, and working with ministries of education is essential.
Skills
Essential skills include strong analytical and writing abilities, proficiency in facilitating workshops and capacity development, and the capacity to translate international best practices into national contexts. The ability to work effectively in multicultural and interdisciplinary teams with a strong focus on practical implementation and results is also crucial.
