Job Purpose
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience within UNESCO's Natural Sciences Sector. Interns will support the sector's mission by contributing to various activities and projects across different divisions. This includes assisting in the preparation and review of project documents, drafting notes, and preparing technical annexes. Interns will also help in developing briefing notes, progress reports, and other essential documents by conducting research and collecting data. Furthermore, they will support communication and visibility efforts, update web content, and design dissemination materials to enhance resource mobilization. The role involves analyzing data for partnerships, taking meeting minutes, and providing administrative and logistical support for events.
Responsibilities
Interns will actively participate in the preparation and review of project documents, including drafting notes and technical annexes. They will contribute to the development of briefing notes, progress reports, and other relevant documentation by conducting research and gathering data. Support will be provided for the sector's communication and visibility initiatives, such as updating web pages and creating dissemination materials. Responsibilities also include analyzing background data for potential partnerships and fundraising, and documenting stakeholder meetings. Additionally, interns will offer administrative and logistical assistance for the planning and organization of events, workshops, and conferences. They may also assist in preparing budgets, financial documents, and project evaluations, and undertake other related tasks as assigned by their supervisor.
