Organizational Context

The UNDP, in partnership with Brazil's National Council of Justice (CNJ), is implementing Justiça 4.0, a major global program for the digital transformation of the Judiciary. This initiative aims to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and accessibility of judicial services through technological solutions, aligning with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.

Job Purpose

The Project Coordination Specialist will act as a deputy to the Program Coordinator for Justiça 4.0, ensuring integrated project delivery aligned with international technical cooperation objectives. This role involves supporting strategic planning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and developing the project's implementation plan. The specialist will foster collaboration with CNJ and UNDP, manage dialogues with external partners, and ensure effective, high-impact project execution. Key contributions include advising on implementation strategies, monitoring progress, and facilitating knowledge transfer to enhance access to justice and optimize judicial processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage project planning and implementation, ensuring effective execution of strategic and technical actions in collaboration with the General Coordination. This includes developing technical reports and strategic materials, and facilitating knowledge transfer. Advise on implementation, monitoring, and evaluation strategies to strengthen access to justice and ensure efficient delivery. Provide technical assessment and daily support to multidisciplinary teams, aligning their outputs with project goals and contributing to technological solutions. Oversee team management processes, including onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development. Develop strategic partnerships, ensuring effective contracting and follow-up on consultancies and collaborations. Actively participate in governance meetings with CNJ and UNDP, leading cooperation strategies and promoting inter-institutional linkages. Monitor and report on project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with global objectives. Facilitate knowledge development, sharing, and advocacy. Lead and strengthen people management within the project, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented culture, and supporting team well-being.

Work Experience

A minimum of 5 years (with Master's) or 7 years (with Bachelor's) of progressively responsible experience in coordinating, managing, or implementing international technical cooperation projects and/or public policies. Experience should be in areas related to Justice, governance, digital transformation, innovation, or institutional development, including strategic planning, institutional articulation, team management, and results monitoring.
