Technical Analyst For Health Governance Initiative (heart) [open To Internal And External Applicants]
Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Indonesia partners with the Ministry of Health to strengthen health governance through the Health Governance Initiative (HEART) Program. This initiative, with a budget of approximately USD 80 million, focuses on policy advocacy, evidence-based interventions, technical assistance, and digital transformation to improve health system capacity and achieve Sustainable Development Goals.
Job Purpose
The Technical Analyst will provide essential technical support for the HEART program, focusing on project development, implementation, and reporting. This role involves coordinating with various UNDP units, government bodies, and international partners to advance health programming in areas such as laboratory system strengthening, digital health, climate health, and disease surveillance. The analyst will contribute strategic inputs, policy advice, and technical assistance to ensure effective project design and execution, ultimately supporting the achievement of improved health outcomes and resilient health systems in Indonesia.
Responsibilities
The Technical Analyst will contribute strategic inputs to program and project design, providing policy advice and technical support in collaboration with government, donors, UN agencies, and civil society. Responsibilities include facilitating stakeholder engagement, analyzing portfolio effectiveness, and supporting capacity development strategies. The role involves contributing to project management by ensuring quality assurance, applying Results-Based Management, supporting work plan development, monitoring progress, and assisting with project initiation, reporting, and closure. Additionally, the analyst will facilitate strategic partnerships, support resource mobilization efforts, and promote knowledge sharing and dissemination of lessons learned across the portfolio, ensuring human rights and gender equality are prioritized.
Work Experience
A Bachelor's degree requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in health programs. Experience in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, data collection, and managing health projects within international organizations or government bodies is desirable. Experience with specific health areas like communicable/non-communicable diseases, health technology assessments, or digital health initiatives is also beneficial.
