Job Purpose
The Technical Analyst for Youth Empowerment Initiatives will serve as the focal point for youth empowerment within UNDP Indonesia. This role is crucial for mainstreaming youth into the country office portfolio, leading youth-led programs addressing pressing national issues, and fostering youth contributions to the SDGs. The Analyst will drive inclusive development pathways by forging partnerships and collaborations among Indonesian youth groups, ensuring young people are active leaders in sustainable development. The position supports the implementation of key youth empowerment projects, contributing to their successful execution and impact.
Responsibilities
The role involves providing technical oversight for monitoring and reporting on youth empowerment initiatives, ensuring systematic assessment of progress against objectives and results frameworks. Responsibilities include establishing and strengthening reporting mechanisms, acting as a technical focal point, and providing strategic guidance to implementing partners. The Analyst will lead data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform adaptive management and decision-making, developing high-quality analytical outputs for reporting. Key duties also include coordinating strategic communication of results, integrating gender-responsive analysis, and overseeing the documentation of programme results. The role supports project management, quality assurance, and the application of Results Based Management across the youth portfolio, including mainstreaming youth empowerment within the country office. Additionally, the Analyst will support strategic partnerships, resource mobilization, and the dissemination of lessons learned across projects and units.
Work Experience
Applicants with a Master's degree are not required to have prior professional experience. Those with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in programme/project management related to youth entrepreneurship, upskilling/reskilling, or climate action.
