Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide practical experience in partnership development, donor relations, and private sector engagement within a UN regional bureau. The intern will support the RBAS Amman Hub's efforts to scale up private sector engagement and Gulf partnerships. Key contributions include researching and mapping private sector actors, assisting with due diligence, preparing partnership documentation, and supporting donor intelligence work. The role offers exposure to development finance actors in the Arab region, strengthening research, drafting, and coordination skills in a multicultural environment, and building understanding of UNDP's partnership policies and workflows.
Responsibilities
The intern will support private sector engagement and partnerships by researching and mapping private sector actors, assisting with due diligence processes, preparing partnership documentation, and maintaining records of corporate partnership opportunities. Responsibilities also include supporting Gulf partnerships and donor relations through intelligence gathering on funding priorities, preparing briefing materials for engagements with Gulf partners, and assisting with the logistics and follow-up for high-level meetings and regional events. Additionally, the intern will maintain partnership trackers, contact databases, and contribute to communication products related to partnerships, while also providing research and coordination support for sustainable finance workstreams as needed.
Work Experience
A demonstrated interest in partnerships, private sector engagement, donor relations, or development finance is required, evidenced through academic work, prior internships, or extracurricular activities. Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary, with familiarity in data visualization tools being an asset. Knowledge of the Arab region, particularly Gulf Cooperation Council countries, is desirable.
