Job Purpose
The Project Analyst, Civil Society will manage and implement key components of the UNDP civil society portfolio within the Sawasya III Joint Programme. This role is crucial for delivering on programme outcomes, fostering synergies, and developing knowledge networks. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining partnerships, supporting resource mobilization, overseeing budgets, and contributing to knowledge management. The position aims to strengthen civil society engagement in promoting the rule of law, access to justice, and security for the Palestinian people, aligning with national development plans and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the implementation of UNDP civil society components within the Sawasya III Joint Programme across Palestine, including budgetary and financial management, work planning, procurement, and reporting. Supervise and support the civil society team, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and client satisfaction. Monitor programme delivery, prepare progress updates, and contribute to annual work plans and project documents. Assess programme impact and effectiveness through field visits and reporting. Provide technical advice on access to justice, including mapping CSO activities, creating strategic partnerships, and supervising support to local CSOs. Maintain and develop coordination mechanisms for legal aid and public awareness. Engage in capacity building with justice and security sectors and national stakeholders. Ensure integrity of financial and administrative procedures, supervise requisitions, and manage operational support. Support resource mobilization efforts and build partnerships with local and international civil society organizations. Identify best practices and contribute to UNDP knowledge networks.
Work Experience
A Master's degree holder is not required to have professional experience. A Bachelor's degree holder requires a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in managing development projects or a CSOs portfolio in Palestine. Experience in justice sector reform, access to justice, legal reform, programme/project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and working with public institutions and grassroots organizations is required. Grant management with CSOs, team building, staff supervision, and proficiency in office software are also necessary.
