Job Purpose
This role supports the Gender Analyst in implementing and monitoring the "Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions" and the Office's "Gender Equality Seal for Development" action plan. The position also addresses technical, programmatic, and operational needs for mainstreaming gender across UNDP Ecuador's areas, programs, and projects. The Associate will provide execution, accompaniment, facilitation, and technical follow-up on gender-related matters, adhering to established methodologies, standards, action plans, and technical guidelines to advance institutional strengthening and gender equality priorities.
Responsibilities
The Associate will support the integral implementation of the "Gender Equality Seal for Public Institutions" by assisting with initial planning, institutional commitment stages, and developing project timelines, roadmaps, and communication mechanisms. This includes preparing and facilitating induction and capacity-building sessions on the Seal's methodology, standards, and tools for institutional staff. The role involves regular communication with focal points, accompanying the baseline and self-diagnosis stages, reviewing evidence, and supporting the consolidation and presentation of results. Additionally, the Associate will assist in developing and monitoring the Improvement Action Plan, including organizing workshops and defining key performance indicators.
