The Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (ICPSD), a Global Policy Center, focuses on private sector engagement and sustainable development. This internship is within the Sustainable Finance Hub, supporting initiatives related to Islamic finance and impact investing.
Job Purpose
This internship aims to provide comprehensive research, writing, and editing support for knowledge products concerning Islamic finance and impact investing. The role involves contributing to the publication of best practices and knowledge stories in these specialized fields. The intern will assist in the design and implementation of projects and initiatives, and will be responsible for preparing communication materials such as speeches, brochures, and social media content. A key aspect of the role is collaborating on the development and execution of online content and social media campaigns. Success in this position requires strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, alongside the ability to manage workload independently and collaboratively, maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
Responsibilities
The intern will provide essential research, writing, and editing support for various issues and knowledge products focused on Islamic finance and impact investing. This includes assisting in the publication of knowledge stories and best practices within these domains. The role also entails contributing to the design and implementation of initiatives, projects, or programs. Administrative support will be provided as needed. Furthermore, the intern will prepare communication materials, including speeches, brochures, and success stories, and will collaborate on developing and executing online content and campaigns across social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Additional relevant tasks may be assigned by the supervisor.
Work Experience
Experience in academic writing, research, and analysis on sustainable development and impact investing is required. Knowledge of SDG financing and Islamic finance is advantageous. Familiarity with OIC countries is desirable. Proficiency in standard software applications and a demonstrated interest in the work of the UN and UNDP are expected. Experience in economics and finance research, project design and implementation, and social media content development are considered assets.
