This internship offers an opportunity to support the NCE program team in Chad, contributing to its mission of fostering sustainable practices and environmental resilience.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this internship is to provide technical and administrative support to the NCE portfolio's projects in Chad. The intern will contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of initiatives focused on sustainable energy, energy efficiency, environmental management, and sustainable development. This role also involves supporting regulatory and technical monitoring, administrative tasks, and the production of strategic documents related to renewable energy, climate, environment, and sustainable development, thereby enhancing the program's operational effectiveness and strategic output.
Responsibilities
The intern will support project management by participating in activity planning, implementation, and reporting for energy, environment, and sustainable development projects. This includes providing administrative assistance and tracking ongoing project files. The role also involves supporting consultancy and contract management, including monitoring consultants, contracts, and deadlines, as well as reviewing technical deliverables and providing feedback. Furthermore, the intern will conduct research, case studies, and technical analyses on sustainable energy, climate change, environmental management, and sustainable development, contributing to the drafting of concept notes and technical summaries. Communication and advocacy support includes updating technical communication materials and assisting in organizing webinars and workshops, as well as drafting meeting minutes. Finally, the intern will contribute to knowledge management by identifying best practices and lessons learned, and monitoring funding opportunities in the relevant sectors.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of experience is required in areas such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental policies, climate strategy, or sustainable development. Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrating rigor and organizational skills is also beneficial.
