Job Purpose

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will provide essential monitoring, evaluation, and administrative support for the "Organics Mobilized" and "City Experiment Fund" projects. This role is crucial for ensuring projects align with UNDP's objectives and regulations, contributing to effective project implementation and outcomes. The associate will support the development and refinement of the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework, integrate Human-Centered Design insights, and ensure data quality and ethical use. By analyzing data and translating findings into actionable recommendations, the role directly influences project iteration, policy-making, and overall success in achieving development goals.

Responsibilities

The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate is responsible for supporting the development and refinement of the MEL framework, including defining indicators, targets, and data collection methods. This involves integrating learning questions and Human-Centered Design insights to enable iterative project improvement and documenting qualitative findings. The role includes developing MEL instruments, creating dashboards for data visualization, and establishing data management practices. Analysis of quantitative and qualitative data will inform actionable recommendations for project targeting and delivery. Additionally, the associate will support participatory processes, project documentation, administrative tasks such as financial monitoring and reporting, and ensure compliance with UNDP operational policies. Knowledge building and sharing are also key responsibilities.

Work Experience

A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in M&E, research, data analysis, or program support is required with a secondary education. This requirement is reduced to 4 years with a Bachelor's degree. Experience with M&E tools, financial reporting, and office software is essential. Experience in developing M&E frameworks, conducting quantitative/qualitative analysis, and project management is desirable.
