Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) in strengthening Mexico's international economic diplomacy. This involves contributing to the attraction of investment, promotion of trade, engagement with strategic actors, and coordination with various governmental and business entities. The role will play a key part in implementing the Comprehensive Economic Promotion Plan, which includes organizing trade missions, participation in international fairs, and investment seminars, all within the context of a reconfiguring global economy. The position directly supports institutional alliances and Mexico's strategic priorities in international economic relations.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include supervising the preparation of analytical documents on Mexico's economic relations, particularly with North American countries. The role involves coordinating the monitoring of relevant economic indicators, policies, and regulations. It requires integrating and consolidating analysis to support institutional positions in economic policy committees and mechanisms. Additionally, the position will organize efforts and prepare documents for effective participation in international economic dialogue forums. The role also entails tracking and promoting strategic projects within Mexico's economic diplomacy agenda and managing workload distribution, project execution, and ensuring the quality and timely delivery of analytical products.
Work Experience
For candidates with a High School Diploma, at least six years of experience in government, international organizations, foreign trade, or related fields are required. Candidates with completed undergraduate studies need at least three years of experience in these same areas.
Skills
Effective communication (oral and written), time management, team management, workflow coordination, research and analysis, synthesis, and technical/executive document writing. Desired skills include experience with databases and quantitative analysis tools (Excel, Stata, R).
