Organizational Context
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Türkiye is implementing the "NEET Women Phase II" Project under its Preparedness, Resilience and Response Programme. This project aims to enhance the employability of young women aged 18-35 who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET). The Field Facilitator role is based in Ankara, Türkiye, and operates on a short-term retainer basis.
Job Purpose
The Field Facilitator will play a crucial role in increasing the employability of NEET women by establishing and strengthening networks between stakeholders and the private sector. This involves conducting labour market needs assessments, identifying employment and internship opportunities, and facilitating partnerships. The role also supports the planning and organization of employment-oriented training programs tailored to market demands and assists in outreach efforts to engage NEET women in project activities. Ultimately, the position contributes to creating sustainable solutions for youth employment and economic empowerment, aligning with UNDP's broader mission to combat poverty and inequality.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive labour market needs assessments by engaging with private sector companies, employer associations, and business networks to identify sectors and occupations with employment potential for NEET young women. Assess employer perceptions and willingness to recruit, identifying barriers and opportunities. Participate in stakeholder meetings, documenting findings and contributing to strategic partnership development. Support the matching of NEET women with identified employment opportunities by sharing CVs and facilitating interviews. Consult with local stakeholders to identify priority training areas based on labour market needs and employer demand. Identify resources for training delivery and coordinate training activities. Support outreach to NEET women to increase participation in project activities, collaborating with local institutions and networks. Maintain organized records of project data, field activities, and success stories. Provide regular progress updates and submit monthly reports detailing activities, findings, and recommendations.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in human resources and/or job matchmaking is required. Experience in building partnerships with private sector representatives and local stakeholders, and managing stakeholder relationships is also necessary.
Skills
Proficiency in computer use, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), and web-based management systems. Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages. Experience in building partnerships with private sector representatives and local stakeholders. Experience in stakeholder relationship management. Ability to analyze labour market trends and workforce demand. Fluency in written and oral English and Turkish.
