International Intern For Communication
Organizational Context

The organization focuses on building effective policies, leadership skills, and institutional capacities. This role sits within the Strategy, Management, and Operations department.
Job Purpose
This internship supports the UNDP Country Office in Timor-Leste by enhancing the visibility and strategic positioning of the Country Programme. The intern will assist in managing the daily communications workflow across digital and physical platforms, ensuring alignment with UNDP's corporate branding and communication priorities. This role involves close collaboration with various internal units, government officials, private sector, and civil society organizations to effectively communicate UNDP's key messages and support the execution of communication plans and priorities. The intern will contribute to knowledge creation through developing communication materials and documenting project information.
Responsibilities
The Communications Intern will support the Country Office Communication Officer in managing the communications function to ensure the Country Programme's visibility and strategic positioning. Key duties include assisting in the day-to-day communications workflow across digital and physical event spaces. This involves collaborating with the communications team to develop social media content, infographics, and other materials. The intern will support the creation of communications materials aligned with corporate guidance, amplify key messages during partner engagements and public events, and assist in the organization and technical setup of physical events. Additionally, the intern will help promote key events, execute the communications workplan, monitor progress towards communication targets, liaise with programme teams, and update contact databases. The role also involves supporting the development of knowledge products and documenting project information.
