Job Purpose

This role supports the UNDP Sierra Leone Communications Unit in developing, implementing, and monitoring digital media content to boost UNDP's visibility and engagement within the country. The intern will contribute to the execution of the Communications strategy and Annual Communications Plan, assisting in content creation for various platforms and events. Key contributions include synthesizing program information, preparing communication materials, and supporting event coordination. The role aims to strengthen UNDP's position as a development leader and promote Sustainable Development Goals in Sierra Leone through effective digital media outreach and collaboration.

Responsibilities

The Digital Media Intern will assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring digital media content to enhance UNDP's visibility and engagement in Sierra Leone. Key duties include supporting the Communications strategy and Annual Communications Plan, developing content for stories, op-eds, press releases, and social media posts. The intern will synthesize information from program teams, prepare presentations and toolkits, and maintain communication unit dashboards and calendars. Additionally, the role involves supporting the curation and coordination of events and campaigns, building communication materials, and spreading awareness through relevant channels to highlight UNDP's work and foster ecosystem relationships.

Work Experience
