Job Purpose
The Deputy Technical Coordinator for Eixo 2 plays a crucial role in supporting the planning and implementation of project activities within the socio-educational system. This position directly contributes to ensuring the rights of adolescents involved in the justice system are upheld. The role involves developing diagnostic tools, advising the CNJ on action plans, and ensuring alignment with national and international standards. By focusing on improving initial care, case management, and post-measure support, the position aims to reduce overcrowding and enhance the overall effectiveness and human rights compliance of the socio-educational system in Brazil, contributing to the project's overarching goal of systemic reform.
Responsibilities
The Deputy Technical Coordinator for Eixo 2 will support the Technical Coordinator in managing project activities related to the socio-educational system. Key responsibilities include assisting in the development of technical reports, providing guidance on consultancy activities, and preparing necessary documentation for project implementation. The role involves monitoring the execution of consultancies and contracts to ensure adherence to goals and timelines. This includes conducting missions, meetings, and other field activities to provide technical and qualitative monitoring of deliverables and targets. The position also entails supporting the CNJ in formulating proposals for programs and actions to ensure the continuity of initiatives beyond the project's lifespan, working collaboratively with the CNJ and UNDP teams.
Work Experience
The role requires experience in supporting project planning and implementation, particularly within the socio-educational or justice systems. Experience in technical advisory, report generation, and contract monitoring is essential. Familiarity with the Brazilian socio-educational system and human rights principles is implied by the project's objectives.
